If you think you’ve bought too much confetti… buy some more…
One of my best wedding tips is that is… well, see above!! In other words, you can never have too much confetti. For weddings of any more than 20, guests tend to start getting cautious about ‘taking too much so there’s none left for anyone else’ leaving a whole bunch left over. They can’t be afraid to take a nice handful of confetti!! Pretty much every wedding, there is leftovers, which is when either I, or a member of the wedding party, go along the line and tell people to fill their boots!
For smaller weddings, again, guests want a nice big handful of confetti (note how I’m not saying a cone-full, we’ll come to that) and where there are 20 or fewer guests, a second go is always an option if we have enough. A little trickier to organise with more guests.

Confetti canons are also a great option for a couple of guests to orchestrate, at the beginning, middle or end of the line (or, spread them out!) These really go off with a bang and results in a great shot. Also a good option for smaller weddings where there are fewer hands to make an impact.
My final confetti tip, is don’t waste money on cones or personalised bags etc they honestly do not fill as much confetti in as you want your guests to grab. A wicker basket of some sort with confetti piled high for a member of the wedding party to hand out at the door is ideal. The cones and bags don’t end up being sentimental keepsakes, they just end up as trash - speaking from experience!
