Travel Diary: Lake Garda, Italy
Travel photography and recommendations from one of my favourite ever destinations…
Alongside Cornwall, Lake Garda is probably my favourite place in the world! For the scenery and the food… what more can you really need? We returned to one restaurant (Locanda Monte Baldo) three times in two weeks!! I could imagine it set up for an epic wedding, although it’s also a hotel so I wasn’t sure if this is something they do… but if you find out it is, give me a shout!! It’s where my new favourite dessert is made; white chocolate mousse with passion fruit coulis 😍
We spent two weeks in Italy at the end of June, a few days in Verona for the first time, a chunk in Malcesine and some time in Riva del Garda for the second.
Verona was such a pretty city, but very busy of course, so I was wary of taking my camera out with me. Head to this Insta reel to see what I did manage to capture! Verona included a brilliant vineyard tour where we visited Novaia and Farina, both in the Valpolicello region. Cool wine cellars were the perfect way to escape 36 degrees.
Malcesine, Lake Garda was a place we’d previously visited but hadn’t stayed in. This town is perfect for couples with no shortage of amazing restaurants, bars and spots to set up camp for the day along the lake.
Grab yourself an aperol spritz and have a browse through the sights of Lake Garda!! 🍹
