Kelham House wedding, Nottinghamshire: Laura & Joe
My second visit to Kelham House for a wedding, this time was Laura & Joe’s small intimate wedding. Thirty guests in tow to celebrate their day, what a privilege to be among the creme de la creme of the most important people in their lives. Kelham House, amazingly, hosts weddings both small and large perfectly. Guests didn’t seem too spaced out at this Nottingham wedding venue, nor did it feel empty - a common worry when searching for a space to host a micro wedding.
Due to their intimate guest list, Laura & Joe opted for my half day wedding photography, 5 hours of coverage from morning prep to speeches which suited them perfectly. I covered the family portraits, candid photos, details and a set of relaxed couple portraits without feeling rushed. We were even able to orchestrate a gender reveal to all the guests as bride Laura was 6 month pregnant too!
One of the unique features of their day were the place settings - Laura is an excellent artist, drawing a portrait of each guest for them to ‘Find Their Face’ (and therefore their seat!) at dinner, doubling up as an adorable wedding favour!
