Yeldersley Hall wedding, Ashbourne - Kat & Pete
My second time at Yeldersley Hall, Ashbourne and one of my favourite spots for a Derbyshire wedding, particularly at the end of spring. Nothing says English Spring Wedding more than the grand hall, standing within the vast gardens and spring flowers around every corner in the middle of the Derbyshire countryside.
Kat and Pete only needed to add some personal Chinese wedding traditions wherever you looked and BOOM… they got themselves their perfect wedding day.
The Chinese symbol for marriage was scattered around the venue, included in the stationery and played a big part in the mother of the brides address to the congregation, where we learned the symbol translated as ‘double happiness’. * Wipes tear *
The rest of the afternoon and into the evening was spent in the grounds of Yeldersley Hall, drinking champagne (okay, yes, I had one!) and eating canapés (you got me again!) capturing candid wedding photos of the couple and all the people they loved in one space. Thankfully, the weather was on our side so we were able to taken a wander around the front of the hall where spring blooms were blooming (how very English) and later into the walled gardens after guests had disappeared from playing garden games.
