Thirsk Lodge Barn wedding, North Yorkshire: Becky & Dia

My first visit to Thirsk Lodge Barn, a rustic barn wedding venue in North Yorkshire went down a treat!! Into the countryside, a short drive from the market town of Thirsk, this venue is ideal to host a rural wedding without the interruptions of the outside world, with beautiful on site accommodation making prepping for your wedding and capturing the morning a summer breeze. Becky & Dia celebrated with 80 of their nearest and dearest (a great number if you ask me) with a sprinkling of personal touches - a family friend baking an array of treats instead of having a traditional wedding cake (I would WALK back to Thirsk if it meant I could eat another one of those blondies!!), name cards decorated with a little something about each individual guest, and speeches ending in spontaneous singing and dancing on chairs!!

Thirsk wedding barn held no limitations of spots for couple photos either. I even feel if the heavens truly opened on your day that we’d be able to find ample covered locations to capture the two of you and your family portraits. On this day, the sun shone, so we were able to use the vast gardens during golden hour while guests gathered in the courtyard for drinks.
