Molly & Ben: Foxtail Barns

Molly & Ben’s wedding felt like a full circle moment for me… I shot my very first wedding at Foxtail Barns back in 2021, purely shadowing another photographer for some experience into the life of a wedding photographer. Just over a year later, and I’m back with wonderful clients of my own!!

Molly & Ben were the most lovely, chilled couple, who weren’t afraid of getting close and cosy with a camera pointed in their face! Props to you guys, we certainly don’t all feel that way! 🙌

Not far at all from my house, Foxtails is a relatively new venue. A ceremony room full of light, acres of gardens to explore for couple shots, and a gorgeous space for food and dancing, it’s a venue that offers endless backdrops throughout your day.

The Morning

Molly and her bridal crew set up camp in the dressing room at Foxtails, right next door to the ceremony room, while Ben and his team held their morning prep (and beers!) at a cottage around a half hour drive away.

The Ceremony

A light ceremony room = a photographers dream! The conservatory windows open right out, so it’s an ideal venue for uncertain, British weather. Covered but still light in a torrential downpour, but light relief from huge wide open windows during a heatwave.

The Couple Photos

There are so many hidden corners for couple photos around Foxtail Barns. We headed off in the golf cart driven by the coordinator of the day to the best spots in the garden, hopping off and taking our own wander around. I loved the long paths, the greenery, the views and the pool!! Golden hour wasn’t meant to be on this day, but the pretty festoon lights in the evening totally make up for that!!

The Dancing

Lots of energy from the band which is just what you need on a wedding day! A live band makes for a super fun vibe in the evening, and Apollo Soul were epic!!
