Jane & James: Iscoyd Park

You know when they say less is more? It doesn’t count in this case. I can only assume Jane & James had a vision to turn a Georgian house in Wrexham into Morocco, and safe to say they succeeded! You’ll see what I mean…

Thanks to a certain pandemic, this was Jane & James 2.0 - the big day (size wise) after their big day (life event wise) last year. Their friends and family came together to celebrate their first year of marriage.

Second shooting for Sam Docker.

Planning a wedding?

The Morning

Iscoyd is beautifully bright and spacious for morning prep. Many, many grand rooms for both parties to get ready.

The Ceremony: Iscoyd Park, Wrexham

A lovely, casual ceremony for Jane and James who had already been married for one year. The made vows to each other about the years to come, had readings from family and a friend to lead their ceremony. Surrounded by greenery, like an indoors garden.

The Confetti

Dried petals, and lots of ‘em!! Might just be me but I love the gorgeous little hair accessories they end up making in the brides (and the guests!) hair afterwards! Super cute, don’t go brushing it out straight away!

The Candids

Champagne served in and around the Coach House - a lovely setting and a great buffer before sitting down. The Coach House is also a great wet weather plan for drinks/general mingling. Kudos Iscoyd!!

The Reception: Iscoyd Park, Wrexham

Stepping out of Wrexham and into Morocco!! Seriously, my jaw dropped when I walked into this room!! I mean, so did everyones! Such an epic installation. When they say less is more, it doesn’t count when it comes to confetti or floristry!! You can never have too many plants!

A good reminder too to think about what is above your heads for the ultimate aesthetic, not just on the tables! Doesn’t have to be quite as vast as this, and some venues have it built in already, but definitely worth thinking about!

The Couple Photos

Iscoyd Park is small enough to feel intimate and that your guests are in one place rather than spread out all over, but big enough for plenty of locations when it comes to your couple photos. The sun sets perfectly through the trees and we took a wander around the grounds to the front of the house for some shots with the gorgeous Georgian building behind.

The Speeches

Emotional and super funny speeches, props to the best men that dug out a clip of James from a kids TV show many moons ago!!

The Dancing

And dance we did!!! After their ‘second dance’ one half of the DJ duo brought the saxophone to the middle of the dance floor - if you want a party vibe at your wedding, these are the people you need!!
