Wootton Hall Estate Wedding - Ellie & Jordan
‘I can’t believe this isn’t a styled editorial shoot?!’ I messaged Fran, from Sass Weddings, moments after I’d walked around Wootton Hall in awe. The set up was just OUTSTANDING at an already beautiful country wedding venue in Lincolnshire. If this wedding had a theme it would be ELEGANCE. The country estate house, the white roses, Ellie’s Frances Day wedding dress - there wasn’t a better word to describe it.
The ceremony space featured two stunning, simple white rose and gypsophelia earns at the top of the aisle, alongside church candles in hurricane vases.
But the floral installations in the ceremony room and the reception room were like nothing I’d seen before at a real wedding. Already a room full of character, the barn features exposed brick, high ceilings and open beams, which Ellie & Jordan used to their advantage. Gypsophelia climbed the beams and in the centre of the space above the heads of their guests was a white cloud made of flowers. A selection of white roses were dotted around the tables, however candles really took the prize with a beautiful complimentary mixture of white taper candles, white church candles, and tealights in various stone and glass holders. After the drinks reception, the remainder of the day was spent in and around this space and I couldn’t help but watch as the atmosphere changed with every hour that passed.
I loved the balcony level that allowed to me to watch over the room and capture the wedding at different angles throughout the evening that normally are not available to me. I could see everything that was going on which added another aspect to my focus in candid wedding photography, something that Ellie and Jordan (like a lot of couples that book me) were really keen on. They wanted their photographer to really blend in with their guests, to capture their guests in a relaxed, candid way, an approach that I aim to live by at every wedding.
I have so many favourite images I captured at this wedding, if I could feature the whole gallery I would! So here are a handful of the best…
